Amy & Brad

Amy and Brad were my lucky 07.07.07 couple, and I just loved working with them. They had put a lot of thought into their photo locations and we went to some amazing places in Listowel. After their ceremony we stopped by a family friend's home which had cool places to take photos at every corner, I was like a kid in a candy store! Amy and Brad were up for anything, so I had a great time.

I love the way the above photo looks, and I especially love the way Brad "helped" Amy down from the big rock after we were done:

Amy as well as several members of the bridal party work in the dental field so guess what the favours were? Toothbrushes! How cute is that?

Sarah & Kris

Kris and Sarah's wedding day in Stratford was a perfect blend of classy, elegant, and simple. The first thing I noticed about Sarah when I arrived for her pre-ceremony photos was her sassy knee length dress, she looked fabulous in it! I had such a fantastic time with Sarah and Kris and I'm so happy that I could be a part of their day.

Kris had his band play during the reception which I thought was a fantastic idea. I love how he's in his tux playing the drums!

Jennifer & Adam

Without a doubt the talk of Jennifer and Adam's wedding was the super cool antique car that they drove around in. It belongs to Jennifer's uncle, who took it out just for the occasion of her wedding, how awesome is that? It was really fun seeing it drive around with all the other cars on the road! Jennifer and Adam are a very sweet couple, so I'm glad they had this special experience on their wedding day.

Kelly & Brock

Kelly and Brock were married in the Dominican Republic in May, but had an awesome reception in June back here in Waterloo. We went together to Waterloo Park for photos beforehand and then off to their reception at St. George Banquet Hall in Waterloo. It was so relaxed and fun with these two and I really enjoyed my day with them!

Kelly and Brock found this amazing little donut shop while travelling to their family cottage and stop by there every time they go up. They had these delectable donuts instead of a cake, and fed them to each other at the reception. Soooo yummy!!

Shanna & Trevor

Shanna and Trevor were married in Cambridge in June and what a fun day I had with them! First, I went with the guys to a park where I was in stitches the whole time, Trevor had really funny groomsmen. Then after the ceremony, Trevor and Shanna drove around in their uncle's super cool blue Mustang. They kept joking that they were not returning the car, and I don't blame them one bit!

For their first dance, Trevor and Shanna took dance lessons but never told anyone. I could hear all the guests ooh-ing and ahh-ing when they were dancing, it was a great surprize for everyone!

Lindsay & James

Lindsay and James were married at the Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo on a beautiful sunny day in June. If you've read my blog, you may remember their engagement session earlier this year. Throughout the years we've known each other, Lindsay and I spent quite a bit of time chatting about weddings (mostly about the important stuff like the dress and hair!). She was a stunning bride just like I knew she would be...and just so he doesn't think I forgot him, I'll send a shout out to James who was also a major hottie!

It was so funny, the three of us are walking up this lane and Lindsay suggests this photo with the arrows on the road, we're both giggling thinking this is hilarious while James is looking at us like: "what in the world is wrong with these two?". The end result still cracks me up!

Nick & Sonia: Engagement Session

A few weeks ago (oh my, I'm a wee bit behind on my blogging!) I headed out to Guelph for an engagement session with Nick and Sonia at Goldie Mill Park. I don't have to point out that they are obviously both hotties. Even better is that they took direction really well in front of the camera. They were naturals, and I totally didn't believe them when they said they're not professional models - check out some of my faves from the session:

Karen & Ken

What a sweet couple and a great wedding day, with lots of attention to detail. Karen and Ken chose to see each other before the ceremony, and everyone was fighting back the tears as Karen came around the corner to see Ken for the first time - the first three photos in this post are of that amazing moment.

Ken is a firefighter with the Cambridge Fire Department, so we headed over to the fire station for some awesome photos

Their ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, and there were so many beautiful details at every turn, but in the irony of all ironies the centerpiece on our table came in contact with one of the candles and actually caught on fire! Luckily we were in a room full of firefighters and the groom and groomsmen ran to our aid.

Here is the before photo of the beautiful centerpieces

And here is the after photo of our poor centerpiece...yes you read it right people, we were at table 13!

Someone brought over marshmallows for us to roast at our campfire!

And here is Karen (who has an awesome sense of humour) laughing at the whole thing, while in the background the groomsmen who saved our lives are being congratulated

Krissy & Amos

I was a little worried when the weather report said it would rain on Krissy and Amos' wedding day, but it held off and we were able to get some great outdoor photos. Their ceremony and reception were held at Hauser Hall in Heidelberg. The whole day was beautiful, and the details and decorations were impeccable. I couldn't believe it when they told me that Krissy's mom had sewn all the bridesmaid dresses herself, they looked amazing! Here are some of my favourites of the day:

At the end of the night, all the guests made a tunnel of sparklers for Krissy and Amos to run through. I love this photo because the only thing I used to light it are the sparklers, but I guess that's only cool if you're a photo geek-ette like me :)

Jennifer & Carman

Jennifer and Carman were married this past Saturday in Ayr, with their reception at the Arden Park Hotel in Stratford. I had such a blast going to both their family farms for photos. I realized what a city girl I am when it dawned on me that I had never stood quite that close to a cow before! We had a great time and got some really fun photos:

As we're doing the bridal party photos, their adorable family dog decides to join in the fun and cracks everyone up with his antics

Check out the eager groomsman to the left!

As you can see I am not above product placement - although just to clarify this D&G specializes in photography and not stylin' shades :)

Jodie & Bobby

Last Saturday I photographed Jodie and Bobby's wedding in Flamborough. Their reception was at the Flamborough Hills Golf Club, and the staff were so nice that when they saw us walking around looking for photo locations they brought over a couple of golf carts for us to zip around in. We had such a beautiful day, and Jodie and Bobby and their wedding party were so much fun :

The expressions on everyone's face in this one is what gets me!

Rina & Trent

Rina and Trent were married in Guelph on Saturday, and it was a beautiful sunny day. After the ceremony, we went to Goldie Mill park for photos followed by a hopping reception at Guelph Place Banquet Hall. We also dropped by the University of Guelph with the bridal party for a few photos. 11 out of the 14 people in the bridal party (including the bride and groom) as well as the photographer (that would be moi) are all U of G alumni, so obviously we are a very well-educated and sophisticated bunch! Go Guelph grads!

During the first dance
Trent's favourite breed of dog is boxers, and look at the little cutie we ran into at the park. As one of the groomsmen said: "it's a wedding day miracle!" :)

Tricia & Jasmine

On Sunday, my friend Tricia came up from Windsor with her baby Jasmine for a visit and a photo session. I've known Tricia for years (since our very first day at the University of Guelph many ages ago!) and it was so great to meet the newest addition to their family. Check out the cutest tuft of hair on Jasmine, what a gorgeous baby! I asked Tricia if I could keep her, but unfortunately it was a no go...

Veronica & John: Engagement Session

Veronica and John came all the way from Barrie to Kitchener for their engagement session. It was such a gorgeous and warm day at Rockway Gardens. The weather was especially surprizing since only two weeks ago we had to reschedule because it snowed! I'm serious, two weekends ago we had snow, and this weekend I'm in capris and a t-shirt. That doesn't even make sense to me...but I digress. The session was certainly worth the wait because I had a great time with these two!

Trent Turns One

Trent became a one year old on April 1st, and what better way to celebrate your first birthday than a family photo session? Check out the piercing blue eyes on this little guy!

Four Legged Family Session at the Park

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm crazy about dogs. So when Dawn from "A Dog's Life" asked me to photograph her doggies, I was all over it! Dawn is my doggy babysitter, and takes really good care of my fur-baby when we have to go out of town and can't take her with us. I had a fun day in Waterloo Park with Dawn's family and got some great photos. Family portrait (from left to right): Tabitha, Cinder, and Monk Tabitha, the big sister and the calm one in the bunch

Close-up of Monk, who as you can see is a very handsome chocolate colour Five month old Cinder, shown here chomping down on a cookie because she listened to her mommy and posed real nice for me

Getting a good scratching behind the ear

Monk, llama ambassador extraordinaire

And here's Cinder trying out the slide (the worried look on her face cracks me up!)

Lindsay & James: Engagement Session

Earlier in March, I went to Waterloo Park with Lindsay and James for some engagement photos. I've known them for a few years now, so I was really excited to hear that they are getting married this June. They're so cute together - I can't wait for their wedding day! Here are just a few of my favourites (I have way too many faves to post all of them!):
